In 2005, my uncle brought me to Blue Haven Children’s Home in Lucknow with my sister as our family struggled financially and couldn’t support our education. At Blue Haven, I joined 31 other children from India, Nepal, and the border of Tibet.
I couldn’t read, write, or spell when I arrived, but I made progress with the help of the teachers and the warden. They helped me with my homework, and I learned everything from reading and writing to computer skills, like PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
Blue Haven gave us structure with a timetable that included study, playtime, and devotions. I loved playing football and cricket with my friends, making memories that still make me smile. As I focused on my studies, I passed from Thomas Academy to St. Ann’s Convent and finally to Lucknow Christian College, where I completed my tenth grade with first-division marks.
After finishing my 12th grade at Lucknow Christian Degree College, WIN continued to sponsor me all the way through college so I was able to pursue a B.B.A. degree, graduating with first-division honors.
Now, I’m eager to begin my career, support my family, and build a bright future. I am deeply grateful to WIN for giving me the opportunity both to know Christ and to receive an education. Your belief in me has shaped my future, and I’m truly thankful.
