Hello, I am Janki. Growing up in the remote Himalayan mountains, my parents were very poor, and we were constantly hungry. I longed to attend school, but my parents couldn’t afford to send me or even buy my school clothing. A WIN Life disciple who was planting churches in that region saw my plight and recommended that I come to WIN’s Blue Haven Children’s Home in 2006. The staff of Blue Haven were good and kindhearted. They didn’t just teach me the local language but also English. They gave me knowledge of the Bible and Jesus Christ.
Now I’m 23 years old and have just completed college. I am helping at Blue Haven School as a teacher and really enjoy teaching the kids. I always try to give my best. On Sundays, I work with the kids in Sunday School. I teach them from the Bible and help advance their future, just as Blue Haven helped to develop mine.
