BLUE HAVEN SCHOOL

Blue Haven School was birthed out of a vison to provide top quality education while also generating revenue that will enable the rescue and nurture of orphaned, abandoned or at-risk girls.

After years of prayer, work and fundraising, WIN opened Blue Haven School in July 2016. Located in the suburbs of the rapidly expanding metropolitan city of Lucknow, Blue Haven is the only school in this area which offers students a top quality education, the opportunity to learn English, plus a Christian worldview and Biblical moral values. The school attained 100% self-sufficiency in 2018.

As the school grows and serves more and more students, the revenues will not only ensure self-sustainability, but will also fund the rescue, nurture and education of orphaned and abandoned children.

Blue Haven is managed by Ricky Srivastava (MA in Education), and is led by a core team of dedicated and well educated staff. 

But Blue Haven School is a rare prototype that is destined to become a shining global model for education that also combats child trafficking and child slavery. 

This project will serve hundreds of needy children long into the future with no need to raise foreign support. In one of the most densely populated and impoverished areas of the world, a prototype facility will be in place that can be multiplied globally to stop the cycle of poverty in thousands of lives.

THE PROBLEM

WE'RE OUT OF SPACE!!  The ground level is maxed out with the current 200 students. This spring our 8th grade students will need to begin 9th grade, but we have no classroom space by which to add this and further grade levels. Completion of even a few of the new classrooms will allow us to add 9th grade and keep working with our upper level students. 

The Indian government is ready to grant us ICSE Board affiliation, which is the highest accreditation a school can obtain, however number of classrooms is one of the deciding factors. As soon as the second level is finished, we will qualify for this coveted accreditation and the school will be securely established and on its way to further growth.

We are on the homestretch of finishing the 20,000 square foot second level of the school! 

The brick work and the concrete and steel roof have been completed.  All that remains is to install windows, wiring, plumbing, flooring and furnishings. 

The second level includes 11 more classrooms, an examination hall, a computer lab, a chemistry lab, four other rooms for staff, parents, and meetings, and boys' and girls' restroom blocks.
